Street feminism / Andrea Almo

Andrea Almo / ESDAP Catalunya / Campus Serra i Abella

“10% of women consider feminism to be an attempt to establish women’s superiority over men. How does this affect the feminist movement?”
The Feminismo de calle project was conceived to raise awareness and to condemn the everyday sexist acts and attitudes of women towards other women with a view to encouraging feminism and sisterhood. It also seeks to raise awareness among new generations of the need to end patriarchal oppression with a view to establishing an ethical, respectful, and equal future society.

This publication takes the form of a compilation of basic theory about feminism to give all readers an accurate idea of what it is. It also features the testimonies and opinions of two hundred 12- to 65-year-old women who offer first-hand experiences of the sexism that all women have internalized. This is all accompanied by bright, assertive graphics of protest, many well-known quotations, and a section of extra content with some interesting features.
It is issued by the publishers Lunwerg Editores and aimed at a female public from 12 to 18 years old, the stage at which girls become young women with a voice and a vote.
