Take my hand / Carla Gómez
Carla Gómez / ESDAP Catalunya / Campus LlotjaTake my hand is a project intended to improve the quality of life of people with hand disorders who are unable to perform everyday actions normally and totally independently. The name of the project, Take my hand conveys the notion of giving a helping hand to people who so require or who cannot perform specific action with their hands.
It consists of two portable objects that are totally customised and ergonomically designed to adapt to the user’s hand, and to perform actions such as turning the door key or unfastening a car safety belt or one’s shoelaces. Another of the goals of Take my hand is that it should be scalable for other potential users, which is why this project has been jointly performed with the QuViTec centre.
